Junior Desktop Support Technician

This individual will support the Jr. Systems Administrator with the primary responsibility of providing Level 1 -2 help desk support for over 170 internal company users. This position will serve as the point of contact for technical assistance and support for internal applications, software and hardware issues. The individual should have working knowledge and understanding of a variety of desktop/systems support items, including workstation repair and setup, laptops, networking equipment. Duties and responsibilities include:
Staff / PC Support
Customer Support
Virtual OneStop & Virtual LMI local and Client installations / support
Research / implementation of new technologies
Maintain and enforces logical Security measures
Maintain server room infrastructure (power / HVAC / connectivity)
May also be assigned various projects and tasks as needed
Occasional local travel may be required for support activities
Must have the following in order to apply:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1 year of experience
Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision
Ability to multi-task and have professionalism to internal users
Ability to take ownership of a task and see it through to completion
Valid drivers license
Preferred Skills:
AA in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field is preferred.
Knowledge in the following areas is preferred:?Microsoft Client and server Operating Systems, DNS / WINS, Active directory
?Dell or equivalent Client, Server & networking hardware / equipment.
?VPN technology & communications
?SSL / Certificate Cryptography
?Exchange server 2007
?SharePoint 2007
Required Screenings: Background checks. Employer will perform testing: Personality Assessment.
Hours: Day Shift
Pay: $12.00-$13.00 per hour. DOEEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
