The X-Ray Technician will be responsible for providing an excellent patient experience that is consistent with those of the practice.
Hourly rate negotiable based on years of experience and qualifications.
The responsibilities of this position include:
Using proper radiation protection and precautions, prepares and operates x-ray equipment Positions patients to obtain appropriate radiographic exposures Performs x-rays accurately and timely to keep clinics moving Perform fluoroscopy for needle guided procedures Cross train to our MRI department if licensed as an ARRT Provide copies of x-rays for patients when requested Assist medical assistants or others on the team as availability allows Maintain a clean workspace Conduct basic machine maintenance as necessary Perform other duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of anatomy and physiology Knowledge of the current trends and techniques of x-ray technology Ability to operate equipment effectively Ability to establish effective working relationships with patients and other staff Education and
Experience:
Holds an active X-Ray license in the state of Florida One year Orthopedic experience, preferred Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods standing, reaching and bending Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time Physical strength and agility to position patients for a variety of diagnostic examinations Job Type:
