Lead Compounding Technician

APS Pharmacy APS Pharmacy Palm Harbor, FL Palm Harbor, FL Full-time Full-time From $22 an hour From $22 an hour 2 days ago 2 days ago 2 days ago Role and Responsibilities This position is responsible for maintaining workflow, ordering supplies, inventory maintenance, training of new employees, supporting team members, and act as liaison to Compounding Supervisor.
In addition, the lead technician is responsible for interpreting formula worksheets and compounding medication using approved equipment and processes.
Lead technicians are responsible for cleaning and maintaining the compounding equipment.
Lead technicians provide assistance to the pharmacists in carrying out the mission of the pharmacy.
All duties are performed under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Responsibilities include Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations Responsible for training new employees and continuous training of current technicians Conduct product inventory, drug and device, and request products be ordered in a timely manner.
Also responsible for monthly check on expired products.
Fills out and maintains LUMACs for the lab.
Responsible for effectively communicating with all employees with the direction of the pharmacist in charge.
Organizes daily workflow and rearranges workload when needed.
Responsible for conveying any concern of another employee to the appropriate supervisor.
Measure, weigh, count, and compound medications Mix pharmaceutical preparations according to formulation logs.
Establish and maintain accurate patient records by entering correct lot numbers and expiration dates of compounded medications.
Maintain proper storage and security conditions for drugs.
Receive and store incoming supplies, verify quantities against invoices, and inform supervisors of stock needs and shortages.
Package medications Clean, and help maintain equipment and work areas, and clean glassware according to prescribed methods.
Performs other duties as assigned Requirements Qualifications and Education Requirements Current CPhT Certification Must exhibit excellent customer service skills Compounding and/or laboratory experience preferred Good computer skills (data entry, Microsoft Office products, email, internet) Good math skills are essential Ability to work as part of a team in a fast paced environment PREFERRED SKILLS Experience with Compounding Experience working in a manufacturing environment Experience working in a Federally Regulated Facility Strong chemistry background Strong non-sterile compounding experience Technical writing skills for writing Standard Operating Procedures Job Type:
